Tours for Secondary 3

Tour 2. Trails of World War II - Battlefield Tour
The tour does not only engage students on the aspects of military tactics and reasons for the war, but it also looks at the human angle.

In time of war the best and the worst of human nature are displayed. The sufferings of not only the prisoners of war but also the civilian population will be highlighted. Engaging the minds of the students by asking for example ‘How many of you have Senior Citizens in your families who are 75 years and above?’ or highlighting human creativity in times of need and shortage will show them in very simple but drastic ways the importance of values. Understanding the need for ‘Total Defence’ and that everyone has to play a role is part and parcel of this tour.
